A portrait of an old man residing in an old city, the texture and the ripped background is the testament of his life which was full of colors, beautiful memories but just like the old city it is fading with time, he is still holding on some moments of life like holding the goat which is a metaphor of a beautiful past of the city, as well as this old man.

A portrait from the neighborhood ,the subject is an old lady looking after the business of her deceased husband, running a butcher shop ,taking care of her lambs, the colorful and fading background is the story of her life, and the subtle face structure and fluid brush strokes depicts her character of holding on things around her no matter how hard that is.
